How the Carelink System Works
The Carelink alarm is easy to use and could end up saving your life. Unlike most modern technology, our alarms have been designed to be installed by you, the user, in your own home. There is no need to wait for an engineer to come out to your home sometime between 9-5. You are able to do it yourself within five minutes.
Once delivered, you can install your alarm in four easy steps:
1. Plug your alarm into your main telephone socket using the cable provided.
2. Plug your telephone equipment into the back of the alarm unit with the telephone adaptor – which again is provided.
3. Plug the alarm into the mains power socket.
4. Press the big red help button on the alarm to make your test call. This will allow our monitoring team to ensure everything is set-up correctly.
Speaking of our friendly monitoring team, they are available 24/7 to ensure that help is only one click away. Press the big red button on your comfortable MyAmie Pendent – which you can wear around your neck or around your wrist – and a member of the team will speak to you over the alarm’s loudspeaker system.
They will act depending on the situation either by contacting an emergency contact selected by you during the ordering process – usually close friends, neighbours, and family – or the emergency services.
The loudspeaker is loud but don’t worry if you can’t hear our team because they will contact the emergency contacts / services if you cannot respond.
How much is this going to cost?
So now you have read about our life-saving Carelink system you need to know how much they cost. There are two different pricing options for you to choose from; The weekly Plan and the Annual Plan.
On our weekly plan you pay an initial payment of £37.70*, alongside a setup fee of £45. After that is it is only £2.90 per week – Now that’s cheaper than a portion of fish and chips!
If that doesn’t suit you then you can order our Annual Plan. This includes an initial payment of £114* and a setup fee of £45. After that, your personal alarm will cost you £114* per year! That’s works out at just 32p per day – Cheaper than buying a copy of your local newspaper!
