Lifeline Vi Alarm Unit
The Lifeline Vi Unit is one of the most simple yet advanced alarm devices ever made. The unit is a plug & play device - which means you can install it yourself in no time! All you need to do is plug the unit into your telephone socket and a power socket. Plug the telephone adapter into the unit, before plugging your telephone into the adapter. All it takes is one quick test call and you are all set-up and covered!
For maximum simplicity, the Vi Alarm features just three buttons. These include the red "Help" button, which you can press in an emergency, and the green "Cancel" button - just in case you press your pendant by mistake! Finally we have the yellow "Home/Away" button - you can press this when you are going on holiday, or are going to be away from your home for a long time.
Lifeline Wireless Pendant
The wireless pendant that you will receive alongside your alarm unit is a clever little device. It has been designed to be discreet and as stylish as possible. The pendant is no bigger than a 50p coin and you can choose to wear it around your neck or wrist. Many of our customers choose to keep their pendant on when they pop to the shops or go out with their friends - simply because they feel so comfortable wearing it.
The wireless pendant has some cool little features of its own. The sleek device has a range of up to 100 metres and is even waterproof. All of this means that you can use it when you are sunbathing and gardening, or when you are relaxing in the bath and shower.
How to use your Carelink Alarm
You now know the features of the Carelink Alarm you are about to order, but what do you actually need to do in an emergency? This section of the Carelink guide will explain how to use your alarm. We believe using your alarm couldn't be simpler - we think it's even easier than making yourself a cup of tea!
Let's imagine that you are at home enjoying your favourite TV show or doing a spot of cleaning. All of a sudden, you start feeling unwell or have a fall. All you need to do is press the button on your pendant. Our monitoring team will receive your call for help. They will speak to you over the alarm unit's loudspeaker to see what the situation is before calling your emergency contacts.
We suggest that you select members of your family, close friends, or neighbours as emergency contacts. Your chosen contacts will be informed that you require urgent help. If you require medical assistance, the emergency services will also be contacted. The monitoring team will call your contacts to assist you even if you are unable to respond to their loudspeaker call.
Don't worry if you press your button by mistake! False alarms are quite common. In any case, our team are always happy to speak with you and check that your alarm is working perfectly.
Don't forget to test your Carelink alarm at least once a month! Simply press your button and let our monitoring team know that it is just a test.
