Carelink Testimonials
"I recently had a fall and thought it was time to get a personal alarm. I called Carelink and they were very friendly and helpful. I'm very pleased with my alarm and was able to test it and get used to it. I wish I had done it sooner, it has given my family great peace of mind."
Mrs Hall, Leicester
"I ordered it early Sunday morning and it arrived on Monday, very fast delivery. My son set it up and I tested it and it all worked without a hitch. I feel much safer now that I've got my pendant button and my family are happy too. Couldn't recommend it enough."
Mr Clarke, Nottingham
"Everyone at Carelink has been really helpful and friendly, the customer service team were very knowledgeable and also very patient with me. When I got it set up the people on the other end were also very friendly, polite and respectful. I'm very happy with it.."

Carelink Alarm Unit
The Carelink Personal Alarm unit is the heart of our system.
This powerful base unit plugs into your phone line and the mains power. It uses the phone line to contact us when you need help. You can plug your landline telephone into the back of the alarm, so there's no need to have an extra socket fitted. The Carelink Alarm base unit also has a loudspeaker and microphone built-in, so you can speak to us when you need help.
It has a back-up battery which can power the alarm for up to 40 hours in the event of a power cut. As soon as the power is restored, the back-up battery will recharge itself ready for any future power cuts.
Carelink Pendant
Alongside the alarm base unit, the Carelink Personal Alarm Pendant ensures you can reach us whenever you need help. It is designed to be discreet, stylish, and comfortable.
The pendant has a range of up to 100 metres from the base unit, protecting you throughout your whole home and garden. It is also water-resistant, so there is no need to take it off before bathing or doing the dishes, for example.
What's more, the Carelink pendant has an impressive seven-year battery life. If it starts running low, we'll send you a brand-new replacement in advance. Therefore, you can rest assured that your Carelink alarm will always be there when you need it.
How to use your Carelink Alarm
Using the Carelink Personal Alarm couldn't be simpler. All you need to do is press the red button on your Carelink pendant or the Carelink alarm unit.
If you have a fall and need some help, simply press your red button. You will quickly be connected to our 24-hour Care Team. They will speak to you through the alarm base unit and ask you a few questions about what has happened. If you need help, the Care Team will call your nominated emergency contacts and, if necessary, the East Midlands emergency services.
Even if you can't hear us because you have fallen far away from the alarm unit, there is no need to worry. We will still call your nominated contacts to let them know you have raised the alarm. We will tell them we haven't managed to reach you and ask them to attend urgently.
False alarms are bound to happen now and then, so there is no need for concern if you accidentally knock the button. Just let it call through to our alarm centre and let us know you are OK. False alarms can even be helpful - it's certainly reassuring to know that your Carelink alarm is in perfect working order.
If you any questions about our alarms or the other devices we offer, then please feel free to get in touch. Our UK-based Customer Service team is available 24/7.

Many of us love to travel, and the upcoming months could be the best time. With the summer holidays over, you are likely to experience less crowds, and the weather will still be agreeable. There may be a few less attractions, but there’s still plenty to see and do. However, it’s important to choose the right holiday destinations, especially in later life. If you are helping your loved ones to arrange their holiday, this article will give you some ideas to consider. Choosing the Best Holiday Destinations What counts as the best holiday destination for many depends on what they want out of their trip. Some will prefer to relax by the pool. Others are looking for days full of sightseeing. It’s important to consider the amenities available, but also the safety of the destination. Furthermore, what are the capabilities of your loved one. Do they use a walking stick or wheelchair? How do they cope on stairs? Will they need to take medication? As well as impacting their ability to enjoy all their destination has to offer, it may also affect the cost of travel insurance. Best Holiday Destinations for Over-60s The world is full of remarkable holiday destinations. Read More
Scientific research has found that spending two hours in nature each week is linked to better health and wellbeing. Taking part in community gardening can also encourage people to adopt healthier behaviours. This includes walking and eating fresh produce, and the evidence base is growing. Furthermore, the NHS are increasingly prescribing time in nature and community gardening projects as part of “green prescriptions”.
