It may be Pancake Day but that is not the only food that this day belongs to because it is also National Pizza Day. That’s right. Not only can you create and eat pancakes – you can also make (or buy) your very own pizzas to celebrate this wonderful occasion.

To celebrate here are some of the best pizzas for you to try, chosen by Carelink24. Of course we advise that you stay healthy and only eat small portions of pizza if you are going for the meaty options. There are plenty of vegetarian and healthy options available as well.

Margherita

Despite being labelled at the traditional and simple pizza, the Margherita is still one of the most popular and desired pizzas out there. A simple cheese and tomato pizza is the ideal pizza to choose if you are ordering for a large group, or if you are making an order for your grandchildren.

This is because it is literally just cheese added to the tomato base. You can ensure everybody is happy with their meal with this basis pizza. You can even add a cheese-stuffed crust to your cheese pizza if you are a huge dairy fan. Or alternatively you can enjoy a tomato-stuffed crust.

Carelink Tip – Why don’t you add some Rocket or lettuce to your Margherita pizza to add some healthy flavour.

Meat Feast

Next up to celebrate National Pizza Day is the Meat Feast! These pizzas vary depending on where you are making your order but either way they guarantee plenty of meat and a full stomach afterwards.

Meat Feast pizzas can include meatballs, beef, sausage, pepperoni, smoky bacon all on the same barbecue or tomato-based pizza. Other toppings could include chicken, ham, salami, Donner Meat and bolognese. This pizza is full of taste and will not disappoint.

This a great choice for a one-off cheat day like National Pizza Day. We wouldn’t suggest eating too many meat feast pizzas in your diet.

Chicken and Sweetcorn

This pizza includes two ingredients that just go really well together. The Chicken and Sweetcorn pizza is a favourite here at Carelink24 due to its great taste and its simplicity to make. All you need to do is add the chicken and sweetcorn to your tomato and cheese base and you are all ready to go. Different variations of chicken can also be used. So if you like barbecue you can add barbecue chicken, or spicy chicken if you enjoy spicy foods.

Chicken Tikka can’t be completely ruled out either if you want to add something new to this pizza recipe. If you are conerned about your health, in particular with your heart, we suggest that you swap the chicken for Tuna.

Ham and Pineapple

Our final tip for you on National Pizza Day is another simple pizza to make and one that is also quite healthy. The Ham and Pineapple pizza gives you the taste of meat, and cheese, alongside a healthy fruit. This pizza is much lower on the calories and has a much lighter taste to it.

Of course whether you choose to have more Ham or more pineapple is completely up to you. Just like with all the other pizza options, you can choose to have a stuffed-crust if you so wish.

For a full vegetarian pizza you can remove the ham and add mixed peppers, mushrooms, onions & sweetcorn to your tomato base.

What is your favourite pizza? Please share your thoughts in the comments section of this blog.

The fall alarm sensors and detectors on all devices use an algorithm to recognise the difference between ‘hard’ falls and other movements. They cannot guarantee to detect all falls because it is dependent on where and how it is worn and if it can detect the fall. For this reason if you have had a fall or need assistance you should press your emergency pendant or alarm box if you are able.
